I am an internationally published Maritime Archaeologist with over a decade of experience.
After completing a bachelors at the University of Reading, I received a M.Phil. and a D.Phil. in Archaeology from the University of Oxford. I am a maritime networks specialist who combines field methods with digital humanities to provide cutting edge archaeological research. My studies focus on piracies role in network formation and destabilisation during antiquity, and the 17th and 18th centuries.
I have also taught students both the theory and practice of archaeology, in the UK and United states. In the field, I have led archaeological surveys in the UK, France, Greece and Turkey. I am also experienced in marine geophysics, specialising in side-scan-sonar and target inspection via ROV.
